Get your paws on the Quest Annual Report!
We are thrilled to share our latest annual report, The Quest, highlighting the critical efforts of the Search Dog Foundation from October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2020, and the progress that was made possible by your confidence in us.
The resilient dogs we have the privilege of working with show us that, even on the darkest of days, good things can come in the form of four legs, a warm heart, and an invaluable nose. And just like them, our excitement for and dedication to the task at hand never wanes. Instead, it grows stronger every year, fueled by our supportive community working together!
During 25 years of service to the nation, we have provided 185 certified search teams that have deployed to 211 disasters and missing person searches. And we have welcomed over 500 dogs into our SDF family, many of which were recruited directly from shelters and rescues across the country.
As we continue to celebrate our 25th anniversary year and look to the future, we can be certain of one thing: disasters won’t stop, and neither will we.
This year, SDF has already:
- Evaluated over 575 dogs across the country.
- Provided 59 canine recruits and candidates in training with a new “leash on life” as members of our forever family.
- Supported a roster of 81 teams that deployed to five disasters and missing person searches.
- Found 22 Lifetime Care dogs their forever homes and six their dream jobs!
Thank you for entrusting us this last quarter-century to find, train and give these unique dogs a chance to save lives. Thank you for believing in SDF and in these amazing canines that will overcome any obstacle to work paw-in-hand with their human partners.
We couldn’t do it without you!
