George joined SDF in early 2016 to orchestrate the operational transition to SDF’s 125-acre National Training Center campus and was also tasked with guiding financial and strategic planning processes and expanding the services SDF provides. For more than twenty-five years he has been a systems-oriented and organizational development leader working in non-profit and for-profit environments that include health care, higher education, corporations, and family-owned businesses. George grew up on a working farm in western Pennsylvania and cared for military working dogs at Lackland AFB while in college. At SDF he is inspired by working with a dynamic team with shared values and purpose to provide important services and support to canine and handler search teams on task forces throughout the country.
