Goofy

This big boy is delightful in so many ways! He is tall, gorgeous, funny, sweet, playful, and FUN!

His name is Goofy and when you meet him, you see why. He is a little goofy, in his own silly, nice way. He is part hound and has the voice and nose to prove it. He’s also part lab, so that’s the playful silly side of him. A perfect combination for connoisseurs of either breed.

He’s been out and back a couple of times, through no fault of his own. He spent almost 2 years with a family but was too toddler himself to live in harmony with a new baby who was reaching toddler stage too. He then found his way to a young vet-to-be and they had some glorious adventures together until vet school became too much for a young student and a big dog who likes attention and likes to do things.

He LOVES to hunt and is very good at it. He LOVES to play and is very good at that too. Toys, food, affection, exercise, learning…he likes all these things. He’s tried dock diving and liked that. He would love a job, if one was available for his talents and skills.

He would please and amaze a ‘big dog’ person with his big personality and physicality. He’s done a lot of things in his 4 years on earth – he was originally found wandering as a stray in the fields of Kansas and since travelling to us, he’s met all kinds of dogs and people and has enjoyed home life, kennel life, training, play, hikes, lounging, running and braying.

Goofy has the potential to be a perfect partner if you are looking for an active, energetic, funny, and playful (we keep using this word!) who happens to be wrapped in a show-stopping, handsome package. There’s one thing he definitely needs…someone with a SOH!
